I graduated from the school of medicine at the University of Toronto in 1972 (see Curriculum Vitae).  After a rotating internship, I trained in orthopaedic surgery, completing training at McGill University in 1980.  I obtained additional subspecialty training in children's orthopaedic surgery at Shriner's Hospital in Montreal and did a sports medicine fellowship at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal.  I practiced orthopaedics with subspecialty interest in pediatrics and sports medicine until becoming disabled in late 2002.  I was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Disability Analysts.

I attended law school at Western New England College School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2009, and thereafter was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.  I remain a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Board of Disability Analysts and am a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, The Hamden County Bar Association and the Hampshire County Bar Association.

During the years that I practiced orthopaedic surgery, a significant portion of my practice was medico-legal expertise in the areas of malpractice, personal injury and workers compensation relating to orthopaedic injuries.  With the addition of a JD to my armamentarium, I feel that I have the expertise to consult and advise attorneys on the medical issues of a case and of the interplay between the medical and legal issues in most cases.  I continue to be available to perform medical expertise and record reviews in cases with a significant medical element, including malpractice, personal injury and criminal.

I attach several writing samples for review.
